In the previous post I said something about reinstalling the boot loader but that didn’t work. I found out today why. I closely compared the version I have with the one on the support site, and the one on the support site is an earlier version, so evidently the boot loader won’t roll back to a previous version, which is a good thing.
In my correspondence with Orbit Research I asked them why they have an old version of the boot loader but they didn’t answer that question yet. Hopefully I’ve prodded them into getting the newer version up there. I’m not very assured about them keeping that current, not at this point.
Also, I found out to upgrade my device to the plus version, I’d have to send it to their factory in India, uh, no thanks. I’m also not going to buy an extra Braille display just so I can have the plus version.
Flusoft will eventually get the plus version and they’re prompt about shipping, but I have what I have.
