Yesterday, I finally downloaded both Behind the Wheel German 1 and 2. The audio books are now available on BARD, but not the supplementary Braille material. I’m, of course, keeping a vigilant eye out for these to become available.

Good! Grand!
No problem.
Sorry I havn’t been browsing through these in order. There are 92 of these, so I’m sorry if I miss some.
Yep, the blog entry is entitled something like Down the Road in German. It’s near the top.
Oh, okay then.
It has been posted later in my blog.
Yes, I would love to here about it when or if you poast about it.
I haven’t heard from them.
As far as German courses go, I’m doing one by Paul Noble now. I guess you’ll come across it later in my blog.
Hi again. Any more progres on the bard frunt?
That’s a good idea.
I haven’t lost a password yet and I haven’t had any trouble getting my email address changed and such. Usually when I get that changed they tell me to reset my password, so I do, then promptly set it back to what I remember.
Oh, okay. I hope it goes well.
You’d just have to wait till the librarian or someone else resets it.
oh, okay. But this is just an example but what if the person isn’t there to reset the password? like if for example they are assisting other people? This is just an example, so I don’t think it’ll ever happen but you never know.
Oh, one has to have an account. One can’t just log in like with a guest account or something. It’s only for Americans who meet certain criteria.
If someone forgets his or her password it has to be reset by the librarian in charge of his or her area. I’m with the overseas library in Washington D.C.
That sounds very interesting. But could you not create an account? Or maybe there is a forgot password button so that in case you don’t have a password you can reset it? I ment to say if you forgot your password?
Both the app and the website are navigable, very accessible. I haven’t tried the iPhone app. There’s also an android app too. The PC app is called BARD Express.
BARD is supposedly coming out with a new and improved website but so far I’ve heard nothing about it. One needs to log in to it and I haven’t been given credentials for doing so. I even heard about this from someone who is no longer a BARD member but is subscribed to mailing lists where this was discussed. I’ve received no further word since.
I have to assume that whenever the site is available to more people that BARD Express and the other apps will be updated to utilize it.
That’s nice. Is the layout of the program hard to navagate? Example, are the buttons labeled for screen readers? I ment navigate.
BARD is the American program for people to download books. BARD stands for Braille and Audio Reading Download. Though I live in Munich, Germany, I’m still an American citizen so I have access to this program.
That sounds nice. May I ask what Bard is? If I’m spelling it correctly?
