I suppose I should update the Audacity situation, so here goes. The FFMpeg libraries no longer work with the newer versions of Audacity, so, after struggling with this for awhile, I finally deleted Audacity altogether. That was a cool program, but until the libraries are updated to work with the current state of things in Audacity, none of that will be on my computer.
I really did like Audacity. It was so easy to do multi-track recording, when compared to something like Studio Recorder or GoldWave.
I don’t know how I’ll know when the Audacity/FFMpeg situation changes. I don’t keep up with stuff like that, so it appears I’m done with the program and those libraries, barring a miracle I reckon.
That’s weird.
I didn’t see a way for that.
Can’t the auto-update feature be disabled?
Maybe that was before the auto-updating thing. I don’t know. I’m out of the loop now.
Oh? It never does that for me! I use version 2.1.1, because that’s what I’m most comfortable with.
New features were added in Audacity, and the older version keeps nagging me to update. I tired of this very quickly.
Same question.
Why don’t you use an older version that allows it, in that case?
