A friend of mine, she’s an inactive user on here as well, just gave me a German course today. There’s audio and text, PDF in this case, but at least I’ll have something to look at, even though it isn’t designed to be synchronized with the audio. I’ve converted the PDF to text and have put those two files on my Braille display.
The German course is done by a guy named Paul Noble. He has a relaxed way of presenting ideas and I’ve looked at the booklet for beginners and he has put a good many useful tips in it.
Anybody who is religious out there, please offer up prayers that I’m successful with this course. I will appreciate positive thoughts and vibes from those who are so inclined as well.
Oh yes, that is what I did in the other blog.
When you type with a guest account, and when you hit send comment, it will say guess following by whatever name you type in. For example guess George guess George Wu or guess GW for just examples When you try to reply back in the web browser without an account.
Yes, I think.
Sometimes we put funny names in the guest account don’t we?
You Landon and me don’t have that checkbox that’s what I meant.
yep. yep. it could be funny sometimes with the guest accounts.
Basically what hide my profile for strangers is that, whenever someone is trying to see your visiting card on the web, they cannot see it because that check box is checked Also guest cannot comment on blogs if the check box is checked, but it’s unchecked by default. Which me and you have.
Oh nice, I saw the mention.
Charles, do you don’t mind having guests to comment on your blogs? Sometimes even though we’re not guess sometimes we do it just for fun. The reason why guests cannot comment on blog because the check box Hide my profiles to strangers has been checked and it hides it for people who’s on the web and cannot reply and forced to log into their WordPress account. I will mention this comment to Landon as well.
No problem. Anything for my friend!
Thanks, I’ll need it!
Well, I wish you good luck on that!
She said there are no new courses by him, so it looks like I’ll have to plunge into the Paul Pimsleur course mentioned in an earlier blog post.
nice.
I finished the intermediate course. He said at the end that he looked forward to teaching more, so I assume he’s doing, or has already done, another course even more advanced. I’ve written my inactive friend, asking her to keep an eye out for the newer course.
Thanks, I got it.
I have it in text format. Hmm, I don’t see a way to attach in a comment.
The booklet has a lot of good hints but it isn’t designed to teach you German.
I’ll write you privately and attach it there if possible.
Yes, good luck with the course. Are you able to attatch the Pdf/ text here on Elten in the blogs? I just want to take a peek.
Very nice.
